Hyfi deployed flood sensors in cities nationwide to improve flood resilience and sustainable infrastructure. The sensors, which use wireless and solar power, monitor water levels and transmit real-time data via an online dashboard to emergency teams. A pilot program began in New Orleans in 2023. A partnership between Hyfi, Verizon, and the Center for Neighborhood Technology launched sensors in Chicago, providing city managers with data to mitigate flood impacts. Deployment in Detroit is planned within two to three months.
